Surviving R. Kelly has sparked a criminal investigation.

According to TMZ, R.Kelly is being criminally investigated in Georgia because of the three-part documentary series, which sent shockwaves throughout audiences with its gripping and harrowing recounts of Kelly's alleged sexual abuse — told by seven alleged survivors — over the last 20-plus years.

Fulton County District Attorney's Office reportedly opened an investigation into the allegations made against the singer in Surviving R. Kelly shortly after the first episode aired on Lifetime Thursday (January 3). The office was also reportedly flooded with calls from people with their own stories, which is said to have also encouraged them to begin their investigation.

Investigators have reportedly already started reaching out to several survivors featured in the docu-series, including Asante McGee, who claimed that she was one of the "Ignition" singer's "sex slaves." Joycelyn Savage's family (who believe the 23-year-old is currently being held against her will by Kelly) has also been contacted by authorities, and are said to be fully cooperating.

Both Asante and Joyceyn's family were recently targeted in a since-deleted Facebook page called "Surviving Lies." The page's purpose was to discredit and "expose" Kelly's accusers. However, days after the page popped up attacking the young women, the social media site announced that they shut down the page.

"The Page violated our Community Standards and has been removed," a Facebook spokesperson told TMZ. "We do not tolerate bullying or sharing other’s private contact information and take action on content that violates our policies as soon as we’re aware." Facebook stepped in after an alleged texting conversation between Kelly and one of his accusers was shared on the site in an attempt to discredit her claims against the 50-year-old singer.

The Facebook page, which had more than 5,000 followers before it was removed, linked to a Youtube video that Kelly and/or someone in his team allegedly put out to contradict Asante's story. In the nearly thirty-minute video, Asante's alleged daughter and boyfriend both debunk her claims of sexual abuse at the hands of Kelly in a leaked, but unverified, phone conversation. The Facebook page also listed Asante's arrest history and claimed she's working with the Joycelyn's father to extort money from Kelly.
