Lizzo recently sat down with PopCrush Nights to open up about which "Rumors" are true. While the singer's track "Rumors" with Cardi B created a catchy tune that poked fun at some of the more absurd things she's heard about herself, the line "NDA, no loose lips" appears to be based on truth.

"I have a stack of NDAs right now," she said in the interview. "When you've been burned or when you've been in a situation where it's like, 'Why did you?' Or you've been hurt before, you don't want to ever have that happen again. I just want to avoid it at all costs."

The singer did emphasize that those who have been friends of hers for years had no need to sign anything. "Everyone who is with me now understands the gravity of protecting me, and I think that's super special," she said.

Lizzo previously told Ryan Seacrest that the track was created for her to have the opportunity to address everything. She joked that she could have either gone on a Twitter rant or create a song, and she chose to do the latter. "You know I don't talk about the rumors or the backlash," she said. "I don't go on Twitter rants about it. I kind of keep it in so this is my opportunity to address everything. I was like I can go on a Twitter rant or I can make a hit song."

Lizzo will soon be making an appearance on the upcoming Disney+ reboot of Proud Family, Louder and Prouder. The show will also feature guest appearances from Lil Nas X, Tiffany Haddish, and many, many more. The "Truth Hurts" singer also recently made headlines when she gifted her mother an entire wardrobe to celebrate her birthday. Sharing a video of the moment to TikTok, the heartfelt moment showcased her mother's new clothing and a sentimental moment between the mother and daughter.
