Notorious B.I.G. Honored With Street Named After Him

Family members of the Notorious B.I.G. gathered together to celebrate the infamous rap legend's legacy.

Biggie Smalls took over the rap game repping hard for the east coast, specifically his home state of New York. Over two decades after his death, good ol' Bed-Stuy communed for the renaming ceremony of his old stomping grounds.

The corner of Fulton Street and St. James Place will now be known as "Christopher 'Notorious B.I.G.' Wallace Way."

New York City Council member Laurie Cumbo spoke a few words for "newcomers" in the community not to "get it twisted or forget" who gave a voice to their Brooklyn Borough. Mother Voletta Wallace also explained the street will be about "love" and everyone can take pride in knowing her son lived there. Icon Lil Kim, public advocate Jumaane Williams and many more made sure to share their love for the late-artist, who would've been 47-years-old.

The crew basked in the celebratory news and even came up with a creative way to make sure the street signs don't get stolen.
