Michael Jordan Donates $1 Million to the Bahamas

Michael Jordan's Hurricane Dorian donation is more than generous.

The basketball icon/sneaker phenom made headlines for giving $1 million in an effort to help the Bahamas recover from the hurricane's devastation. A devastation that has left more than 1,300 people missing even two weeks after it hit. While there is still so much work to be done, it's good to see that MJ is doing his part to do what is right.

Estee Portnoy, manager/spokesperson for the former Chicago Bulls champ, tweeted this statement from Jordan Tuesday (Sept. 10):

CBS News expanded to say Michael will choose the most impactful nonprofits to fund the ongoing restoration.

Here are some more organization helping the victims in Bahamas, including Ludacris' charitable work during Luda Weekend.
