I can’t with these scammers!!! But they are still out there and getting more and more creative! So don’t fall for email scams like this!
Here is the newest one… scammers send you a bogus receipt for a purchase you didn’t make in hopes that you’ll try to fix the situation by clicking the link.
It looks like a legit Apple receipt with the logo and it says something like “Thank you for your purchase of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” for $19.99! But you know you didn’t buy that movie…so you’re upset!
So, towards the end of the receipt it says, “click here to cancel your order.” DON’T DO IT!
If you do, you might be handing them your login and password or credit card information.
A good rule of thumb when you get a shady email is to hover over the links and you’ll see exactly what website it’s taking you too…but this is obviously not Apple!
