Army’s 250th Parade May Also Celebrate President Trump’s Birthday

The U.S. Army is preparing to celebrate its 250th anniversary on June 14, which is also President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday. According to Newsweek, the White House is now exploring plans to combine both events into one major celebration in Washington, D.C.

Originally, the Army had plans to honor its long history with a parade and other ceremonies. But now, the celebration could also include a birthday tribute to President Trump. Reports say the parade might include 6,600 active-duty soldiers, helicopters flying overhead, and armored vehicles rolling through the streets.

While some supporters are excited about the combined celebration, others are raising concerns. The event’s estimated cost is $92 million. Critics are questioning whether it’s a good use of taxpayer money, especially when part of the focus is on the president’s birthday.

There’s also a worry that the heavy military equipment could damage city roads. Due to these concerns, the scale of the event might be reduced or even canceled altogether.
