Halle Berry Claps Back at Mother’s Day Video Critics

Halle Berry is never afraid to speak her mind, and she proved it again during her recent co-host spot on NBC’s “Jenna and Friends.” The Oscar-winning actress talked about the strong reactions to the steamy Mother’s Day video she posted with her boyfriend, musician Van Hunt. In the short clip, Halle and Van were lying in bed and sharing playful comments about intimacy. While many fans cheered the honest moment, others felt it was too much.

One social media user scolded Halle, saying she should have spent Mother’s Day with her children instead. Halle addressed that remark on the show. “First of all, it is not Kids’ Day,” she said with a smile. “It is called Mother’s Day.” She added that her children, Nahla and Maceo, celebrated with her earlier in the day, and that spending personal time with her partner does not make her any less of a mom.

Halle also spoke about the importance of women feeling free to discuss intimacy. She said talking openly about healthy relationships is natural and should not be a source of shame. “Whoever did not like it, so what,” she said. “We need to talk more about loving each other and less about tearing each other down.”

Her words earned applause from the studio audience and sparked fresh online support.
