Prosecutors Near End of Case in Sean “Diddy” Combs Trial

The trial involving music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is moving closer to the end. Prosecutors announced they plan to rest their case by Friday. Court is paused today due to the Juneteenth holiday, but closing statements could begin as soon as next week.

Diddy has made it clear he will not take the stand in his own defense. That decision came after a tense few days in court, where jurors were seen wearing headphones while watching raphic videos. These videos reportedly showed what prosecutors described as “freak offs,” or sexually explicit gatherings involving multiple women.

According to the prosecution, Diddy recorded these videos and kept them as a form of blackmail. They allege he used the tapes to keep women like Cassie Ventura and two others, referred to as “Mia” and “Jane,” from speaking out.

The defense pushed back, arguing that the women willingly participated and that the videos do not prove wrongdoing.

The next witness to take the stand will be Diddy’s alleged personal drug supplier. Prosecutors claim Brendan Paul helped Diddy get and distribute various illegal drugs, including substances sometimes referred to as “date rape” drugs.
