Netflix Responds to Claims About Unauthorized Footage in Diddy Docuseries

Netflix is standing firm amid accusations surrounding its four-part documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. According to USA Today, the streaming giant maintains that it holds full rights to all footage used in the project. Netflix also confirmed that an interview was offered to Diddy, but he declined to participate in the series.

Diddy’s legal team has fired back, claiming that the production used material that was “stolen” and not authorized for public release. Netflix rejects that argument, saying everything was cleared properly before streaming.

The first installment of the docuseries featured a disturbing allegation from Bad Boy Records co-founder Kirk Burrowes. He claims Diddy once slapped his own mother and cursed at her after she questioned him about a tragic crowd stampede at a New York City event he promoted in 1991.

The documentary, produced by Diddy’s longtime rival 50 Cent, has quickly become one of the most discussed and debated releases of the year. Viewers are reacting strongly to both the allegations and Diddy’s refusal to speak on camera.
