Hip-hop pioneer Ice-T is returning to music with his first solo rap album in nearly two decades.
The 68-year-old artist recently announced Criminal Migraine, a double album expected to arrive later this year. According to Ice-T, the project explores moving beyond a dangerous past while confronting old habits and surviving in modern life.
The announcement has sparked mixed reactions online. While some critics questioned whether rappers should continue releasing music later in life, many fans pointed to veteran artists who have continued recording well into their 50s and 60s, including Snoop Dogg, Chuck D, Grandmaster Flash, and Uncle Luke.
No official release date has been announced, but the album is expected to drop before the end of 2026.
