Ciara and Russell Wilson may need to add professional matchmakers to their résumés.
Singer Coco Jones and Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell officially tied the knot on August 1 during an intimate wedding in Greenwich, Connecticut. Their guests included Ciara, Russell Wilson and several NBA stars, including Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson and Bam Adebayo.
Ciara and Russell have previously confirmed that they played a role in bringing Coco and Donovan together. Ciara described helping her friends find love as a “fun game” and said the couple also helped connect Normani with NFL player DK Metcalf.
Coco and Donovan announced their engagement in July 2025 after keeping much of their relationship private. The pair exchanged vows roughly one year later in front of their closest family members and friends.
Videos from the wedding showed the newlyweds sharing their first dance to Musiq Soulchild’s “Love” before celebrating with their guests.
Relationship experts often say friends can make effective matchmakers because they understand a person’s personality, values and relationship history. They may recognize compatibility that an algorithm or dating profile could easily miss.
