Keke Palmer is adding another major hosting job to her already impressive résumé.
NBC has officially announced that the actress, singer and Emmy-winning television personality will replace Carson Daly as host of “The Voice” for its 31st season. Palmer will become the first person other than Daly to host an entire season of the long-running singing competition.
Daly has hosted “The Voice” since the show premiered in 2011. Although he is stepping away from his on-camera hosting duties for Season 31, he will remain involved with the series as a producer.
Season 31 will also introduce a new format called “The Voice: Celebrity.” Instead of unknown singers competing for a recording opportunity, the season will feature actors, athletes, influencers, comedians, musicians and reality television personalities competing to become the show’s first celebrity champion.
Queen Latifah and Riley Green will return as coaches, while Joe Jonas will make his debut in one of the show’s famous red chairs. The special season is scheduled to air in 2027.
Palmer confirmed the announcement in a social media video, telling fans, “That’s right. It’s true. I’m hosting ‘The Voice.’”
