Angie Nixon Fires Back at Laura Loomer’s Racist Attack

Florida State Representative Angie Nixon had a memorable response after right-wing political activist Laura Loomer launched a racist and sexist attack against several prominent Black women.

Loomer targeted Nixon, U.S. Representatives Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley, former Congresswoman Cori Bush and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson in a series of posts. She used racial stereotypes and referred to the women with a derogatory term while claiming they were unfit to hold positions of power.

Nixon responded by reminding Loomer of a viral moment from 2024 when Loomer ate a “human-grade” dog-food topper on camera.

“Girl. You ate dog food on camera,” Nixon wrote before referencing Queen Latifah’s classic “U.N.I.T.Y.” line, “Who you calling a B-word?”

Loomer did not back away from her comments and continued attacking Nixon online. The remarks became so inflammatory that former Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene publicly condemned them as racist and hateful.

Nixon, who is also Florida’s Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, used the exchange to remind Loomer that voters could be calling her “Senator” after the November election.

The exchange has generated widespread reaction online and renewed conversations about racism, sexism and the language used toward Black women in public life.
