More details are emerging about the head injury Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly suffered while incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
According to TMZ, Diddy was injured during a fight with fellow inmate Christopher “Dudus” Coke, the former Jamaican drug lord who is serving a 23-year federal prison sentence.
Sources told TMZ that tensions inside the prison increased following an NBC News report detailing allegations that Diddy had been receiving special treatment behind bars.
Those allegations included access to a contraband cellphone, alcohol, special meals and other inmates performing chores for him.
According to the report, prison officials conducted at least two raids following the story and confiscated cellphones from several inmates, including Coke.
Sources claim some inmates blamed Diddy for bringing additional attention and restrictions to the facility.
TMZ reports that Diddy and Coke eventually got into a physical fight while Diddy was outside of the Special Housing Unit for his daily recreation period.
Diddy reportedly suffered a head injury serious enough that he was transported outside the prison for medical treatment. He was conscious and speaking when he returned to Fort Dix before sunrise.
Both men were reportedly placed in solitary confinement following the altercation.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has not publicly confirmed all of the details surrounding the reported fight, so much of the account remains based on unnamed sources.
Diddy is serving a 50-month federal sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
