DC Young Fly is fed up after a problem with automatic property payments left him dealing with a lien on his home.
The comedian recently shared his frustration in a social media video, explaining that he believed his property payments were being handled automatically.
According to DC, the automatic payment system changed or stopped working without him realizing it. He says payments went unpaid for nearly a year before he discovered there was a lien on the property.
DC insists the issue was not that he did not have the money or intentionally stopped paying his bills. He says he simply believed the automatic payments were still being processed.
When he tried to resolve the situation, DC said he became even more frustrated after being told that representatives could not discuss certain details with him because he had an attorney.
The whole experience apparently had him thinking about making a major life change.
DC said he has considered moving to Africa and expressed frustration with dealing with systems in the United States.
He also used the situation as a warning to anyone who relies heavily on autopay: Check your accounts and make sure those payments are actually going through.
A lien does not automatically mean someone loses their home, but it can create serious problems until the unpaid debt is resolved.
