Tina Turner's Story Is Headed To Broadway

Music icon, Tina Turner opened her musical in England back in April and after such rave reviews, she has decided to take her efforts to the United States. The musical, entitled "Tina" is based on the legendary's singer's life and will open on Broadway fall of 2019.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tina said:

“Bringing this musical to life on stage and working with this team has meant so much to me, I feel that it is in many ways a culmination of my career. London audiences have been and continue to be extraordinary. Now, the bright lights of Broadway are calling, and I’m very excited to share this beautiful show with New York audiences next year.”

I think we're all excited. While many of us are holding on to the classic film, "What's Love Got To Do With It," it will be interesting to see her life's story "live" and in living color.

In the musical you can expect to see Tina's life depicted from growing up in Nutbush, Tennessee to her success as a Grammy award winning artist, with features from some of her biggest hits.

As of now, there's no word on the theater in which the musical will make it's debut or the exact dates it will run previews and the premiere.

Either way, we are here for it and will keep you posted.

Go Tina!
