Diddy Vows To Donate $1 Million To Bronx Charter School

Sean "Diddy" Combs has teamed up with our dear friend, Dr. Steve Perry to launch their third Capital Preparatory Charter School in the Bronx. The Bad Boy founder has promised to donate a million dollars towards the new location.

The learning center is set to enroll 160 students in grades 6th-7th next year, with plans to increase to 650 students in grades 6th-11th within the next five years.  Keep in mind that Diddy previously opened two charter schools in Harlem and Bridgeport, CT to ensure that kids who grow up in similar environments as he did get the education they deserve.

“I came from the same environment these kids live in every day. I understand the importance of access to a great education, and the critical role it plays in a child’s future. Our school provides historically disadvantaged students with the college and career skills needed to become responsible and engaged citizens for social justice.”

He took to his IG to share his excitement about his new venture.

"This is bigger than just me, this is my passion, this is my calling, and we still have lots of work to do ... so LET’S GOOOO!!!"

We salute Diddy and Dr. Steve Perry for making a difference!
