Kenya Moore is a mom!
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star gave birth to her first child — a baby girl named Brooklyn Doris Daly — with her husband Marc Daly by her side early Sunday (November 4) morning.
"She's so perfect and strong," the 47-year-old reality star wrote on Instagram following Brookyln's arrival. "Marc was incredible in the deliver[y] room. I lost a lot of blood so I'm very weak but they both were strong for me. God is so good. We are blessed and doing well. My heart is so full at the abundance of love for our family! We love you all."
According to People, Kenya and Marc's baby girl weighs 5 lbs. and 12 oz.
Kenya, who was due around Thanksgiving, was forced to give birth via emergency cesarean section a few weeks early because she'd developed preeclampsia — a potentially dangerous pregnancy complication where women whose blood pressure had been normal rises to a high level.
Just one week before welcoming her baby girl the then-expectant mom explained her health complication on Instagram. "I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia," she wrote. "I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal! I took more tests. Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day." Hours before giving birth, Kenya asked her fans for their prayers. "If you want to make God laugh have a plan," she captioned a photo of her in her delivery room. "Won't be long now. Pray for us 🙏🏾 #babydaly #weloveyou #prayers."
Kenya and Marc celebrated the impending arrival of their first child last month with a lavish fairytale-themed baby shower. "Words cannot express the joy and happiness I feel in my heart," Kenya wrote on Instagram after her over-the-top shower. "So overwhelming to have a room of people who came to celebrate the impending life of #babydaly."
