Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Announce Unique Royal Baby Birth Plan

As we inch closer to Meghan Markle's late April due date (another royal Taurus!), the Duchess and Prince Harry have remained pretty tight lipped about their birth plan. The parents-to-be have finally released a statement detailing their unique plan for the arrival of their little one and it's so different from the one Prince William and Kate Middleton followed. Don't expect to see Meghan posing on the steps of the infamous Lindo Wing in London the day after giving birth. She's keeping things much more private than her royal in-laws.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby,” Meghan and Harry said in a statement via their new Buckingham Palace office.

”Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family," the statement continues.

The Palace will announce when Meghan goes into labor and then the birth will likely be announced via their official Instagram @SussexRoyal. Shortly after the baby's arrival, Meghan, Harry, and Baby Sussex will pose for photos on the grounds of Windsor Castle. One photographer, one TV camera, and one reporter will be on hand for the shoot.

The royal baby's name, as well as any titles bestowed by Queen Elizabeth, will likely also be announced on Meghan and Harry's Instagram. The odds-on favorite right now is Elizabeth by professional oddsmakers who accurately predicated Princess Charlotte's name four years ago. With Meghan's BFF, Serena Williams, possibly revealing the baby's gender, as well, it seems like Harry and Meghan might really be expecting a girl.
