Viola Davis Signs On To Play Michelle Obama In Drama About First Ladies

How To Get Away With Murder's favorite professor is trying her hand in a new drama. Instead of navigating the criminal system, she'll be showing a personal look of the White House from the perspective of the First Ladies. And who else could pull off Forever First Lady Michelle Obama better than Viola!!

Hollywood Reporter explained the Showtime network has the privilege of debuting the series entitled, First Ladies. The actress will also be executive producing the project with husband, Julius Tennon, and his company, JuVee Productions. Lionsgate joined the party that's currently developing the scripts for three different stories.

The first season will focus on the lives of Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford and Michelle connecting the politics that played in their personal lives.
