Sasha Obama Is Ready for University of Michigan

The Obama girls have literally grown up right in front of our eyes. First Malia Obama followed her Old Man's footsteps towards Harvard University. Now, Sasha Obama is making her own path to University of Michigan.

The news broke after students said they saw the up-coming freshman attending summer orientation. How did they know for sure it was the former First Daughter? Just ask the Secret Service agents that followed her around. Third-year film student Zach Lassen literally ran into them while in the hallway. Detroit News reported he said:

"I was walking by pushing a vacuum and she walked out right in front of me. I said, 'Excuse me.' It was a crowded hallway with her and some Secret Service dudes."

Mixed emotions have spread throughout campus about Sasha's attendance. The experience was "cool" to Zach, but the same can't be said by everyone else. Some students admitted the extra security has been bothersome in trying to go about everyday tasks. Meanwhile, a young lady in the university's SUMMER Bridge Scholars Program looks at Sasha as "just a normal student."

Others, like Jessica Brisner, admire her for choosing U of M over her family's traditional Ivy League choices.

"...She decided that UM was the caliber high enough to match that of an Ivy League school."
"We hope she finds her fit here just like we all have," she said. "We all love it here. We hope she does, too."

Good luck, Sasha! Have fun becoming a Wolverine!
