On Wednesday (September 4), Beyoncé Giselle Knowles turned 38-years-young!
In honor of the monumental day, which should truly be turned into a national holiday, the legendary entertainer graced fans with some behind-the-scenes footage from her pre-birthday celebration over the weekend. In the various shots — which were shared on Instagram on Tuesday (September 3), included nine photos and one video — the "Mood 4 Eva" singer and her husband Jay-Z are shown celebrating Bey's B-day at the rap mogul's annual Made in America Festival.
Specifically in the first few photos and the Instagram video, a smiling Beyoncé is shown holding her birthday cake while her loved ones sang happy birthday to her.

For Bey's special day, her mom, Tina Knowles, shared a beautiful birthday message to her oldest child on Instagram. "38 years ago today you came into my life and i know without a shred of doubt that God sent you," she captioned a photo of Beyonce laying her head on her shoulder. "I had recently lost my mom and never thought that i could feel that particular kind of love again but .7 months later i was pregnant with you (39 years ago people) The moment i saw you i knew that that was IT !!!!"
"We’ve been the best of friends since then," Tina continued. "You have brought me such Joy and pride and love and friendship !!! Your heart is as big as Texas !! You are one of the best moms ever ! And I love you soo much ❤️❤️❤️🎂🎂🎂❤️❤️Have the best birthday EVER!!!! Mom."
