Joycelyn Savage, one of R. Kelly's live-in girlfriends, has come forward with new claims against the star, claiming she is a "victim."
"I'm sorry," Savage captioned a message she shared on Instagram Friday (November 22) which read: "There's something I need to reveal, something I've should've talked about a long time ago. This is my story!" The following day, Savage returned to the platform to announce she would be sharing "daily chapters of my life story," a narrative presumably involving her relationship with the disgraced "I Believe I Can Fly" musician, with whom Savage has been dating and living.
"I have Partnered up with @Patreon where I will post daily chapters of my story. Things I am going to reveal that was sweared not to see the day of light — by NDA. I am risking my life for many others," Savage shared in another post. "This story is 18+ and only for mature audience, I want to make sure my story is very detailed as I can remember. My first story 'Where It All Started' is out now."
Savage previously defended Kelly against claims of his alleged sexual assault against several other women — but her latest confessions appear to show her singing a different tune.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first installment recalls Savage meeting Kelly at one of his concerts when she was 19. She described the experience as "fun" but remembered having "mixed emotions" about the encounter, stating she only stuck around because he'd promised to make her "the next Aaliyah."
"Robert would always look at me in a sexual way the first couple of times we met occasionally," she shared, before revealing how Kelly would buy her clothes and give her money at the start of their relationship. "I didn’t have nothing to worry about at the time. We also did a couple of songs together in his studio which he promised me he would release on his platform. Which never seen the day of light, Robert told me soo many lies my 19 year old mind believed everyone of one them."
Things supposedly changed after Savage pulled out of school to stay with Kelly, who allegedly became increasingly controlling and demanded she call him "Master" and "Daddy." When she disobeyed these orders, Savage said he would "raise his voice at me" and threatened to stop helping her whenever she asked to speak with her parents privately. "'All this can stop today, you want a career? Or do you want to live a normal life," Savage recalled, "Basically trying to make me do what he wants."
Since going public, Joycelyn's parents, Timothy and Jonjelyn, have commented on the post, urging her to contact them.
As previously reported, Kelly is currently facing multiple charges of child porn and sex-trafficking.
