Tank Drops 'Can't Let It Show,' Re-Imagine's Maxwell’s 'This Woman's Work'

Tank has finally returned with new music and his sharing the first taste of his new album via his new heartfelt single "Can't Let It Show."

"Can't Let It Show" is written and produced by Tank and sample's Maxwell's 2001 song "This Woman's Work." In the track, the R&B star talks about a heartbreak while taking a look back on a failed relationship. Tank sings, "How did I lose you/ How did I blow that/ How can we go back/ Why did I not choose you/ Instead of a good time/ I wasted your good time."

He continues in the chorus, "I should be crying but I just can't let it show/ I should be crying but I can't stop thinking/ All the things you should've said that you never said/ All the things you should've done that you never did/ Always said, 'I don't know what I should be feeling/ Oh, darling."

In teasing the song, Tank had a message for anyone trying to release an R&B song on the same day. On social media, he explained, "Look, if you dropping some R&B on Friday, push that s*** back. Push that s*** back. It's gonna get smoky on Friday. If you are not crying your heart out to that woman, if you are not putting it all on the line this Friday and you dropping on the Friday I'm dropping, don't do it."

Tank has been working on the followup to 2019's Elevation album, and "Can't Let It Show" is the first single from the forthcoming project.

Music aside, Tank is also set to star in the upcoming Seven Deadly Sins TD Jakes Film Anthology on Lifetime, which is set to premiere on April 17th with Lust: A Seven Deadly Sins Saga. Also appearing in the film are Keri Hilson, Tobias Truvillion, LeToya Luckett and more.
