The body that was discovered in singer d4vd's car has been identified.
According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, September 16, a rep for the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that they know who the deceased body is; however, they are still searching for the victim's family. In addition, ABC 7 in L.A. has confirmed that the victim is between 14 to 15 years old. Last week, authorities confirmed that the body was a 5'1" female with wavy black hair and a tattoo on her right index finger. While they've identified the body, the medical examiner has yet to determine an exact cause of death.
Police found the human remains of the young girl last week after they responded to calls of a foul odor coming from the front trunk of a Tesla that had been impounded at a lot in Hollywood. The vehicle, which is registered to d4vd, was towed from a neighborhood in Hollywood Hills after it had been abandoned for days. The dismembered body was found in a black bag inside the car. She was wearing a tube top, black leggings, and two pieces of jewelry when cops found her.
D4vd's car was never reported stolen. In fact, the singer had no idea it was missing, let alone impounded in a lot. Although he has not publicly commented on the situation, d4vd is cooperating with investigators as they work to find out who drove the car before it was towed.
