A dramatic video has captured the moment a pickup truck flew through the air and crashed into a family's home in Tigard, Oregon, just outside Portland.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Tuesday (February 13) when 33-year-old Jacob Haskins struck a dirt mound while speeding, according to police. The impact launched his Ford pickup approximately 100 feet through the air, clearing a three-foot brick wall before slamming into the house.

David Brudnok, who was sleeping inside with his wife and three children, described being awakened by "the loudest boom I've ever heard in my life." Initially thinking an intruder had entered the home, Brudnok gathered his family and called police.

"I know that type of stuff is deadly at the rate that they hit the house. I just hope everybody is okay and that they heal okay," Brudnok told KPTV. "I'm going to pray to God and ask why, and then we'll go from there."

The crash completely destroyed a bathroom as well as the front and garage doors of the home. Fortunately, no one inside the house was injured, though the family has been displaced while repairs are made.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Haskins initially unconscious and both he and his passenger trapped in the vehicle. Surprisingly, both escaped with only minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.

Haskins has been charged with reckless driving and reckless endangering.

The doorbell camera footage shows the truck's high-speed trajectory through the air, drawing comparisons to stunts from the television show The Dukes of Hazzard — though unlike the show's iconic orange 1969 Dodge Charger, this vehicle did not stick the landing.
