Todd Meadows, a deckhand on the fishing vessel featured in the reality show Deadliest Catch, has died at the age of 25. Captain Rick Shelford announced the tragic news on his Facebook page on Monday (March 2). Meadows passed away on February 25 while working on the Aleutian Lady in the Bering Sea.

In a heartfelt post, Captain Shelford described Meadows as a beloved crew member whose "love for fishing and strong work ethic earned everyone’s respect right away." He added, "Todd’s love for his children, his family, and his life was evident in everything he did."

The Discovery Channel, which airs Deadliest Catch, expressed their condolences in a statement saying, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Todd Meadows. This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with his loved ones, his crewmates, and the entire fishing community during this incredibly difficult time."

Meadows was a rookie deckhand who joined the Aleutian Lady crew in May 2025. His sudden passing has left his family and friends heartbroken. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to support his three children and cover funeral expenses.

The fishing community and fans of Deadliest Catch mourn the loss of Meadows, whose legacy will live on through his children and the memories shared by those who knew him.
