The Buffalo Bills and Pro Bowl tight end Dawson Knox have agreed to a new three-year contract, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Tuesday (March 10).

"Sources: The Bills and Pro Bowl TE Dawson Knox have agreed on a new three-year contract," Fowler wrote on his X account.

Knox, 29, who is now under contract with the Bills through the 2028 season, was set to account for $17.1 million in cap space during the 2026 season with $12 million due in cash, while cutting him would've freed an estimated $9.7 million on the salary cap prior to the agreement on the new deal.

Knox was selected by the Bills at No. 96 overall in the third-round of the 2019 NFL Draft and enters his eighth season with 229 receptions for 2,694 yards and 27 touchdowns, having been selected to the Pro Bowl in 2022, when he recorded 48 receptions for 517 yards and six touchdowns. The former Ole Miss standout recorded 36 receptions for 417 yards and four touchdowns in 2025, ranking third on the team in receiving yards and tied for second in receiving touchdowns.

Knox is the latest Bills player to re-sign following center Connor McGovern, who agreed to a four-year, $52 million contract on Saturday (March 7).
