Cam'ron and Ma$e shared their thoughts after the NBA decided to shut down the Atlanta Hawks' dedication to Magic City.

The Atlanta Hawks had planned to honor the iconic gentlemen's club during a themed event at the Hawks vs. Orlando Magic game next week. Fans would've enjoyed chicken wings from Magic City, limited edition merch, and a halftime performance by T.I. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled after the National Basketball Association received backlash from fans, stakeholders, and employees. After the event was shut down on Tuesday, March 10, Cam'ron came out and said he doesn't support it, while Ma$e agreed with the decision.

"Yeah, I dig it. I totally understand," he said. "I don't support it. That's you. I don't support it... You got 41 games at home. Come on, man. You can pick another night to not bring the kids to Magic City night."

The debate over the event erupted over the past few days after several NBA players and others spoke out and claimed honoring Magic City would be a bad look for the league. Ma$e said he agreed with commissioner Adam Silver's decision and believed the promotion would contradict the family-friendly environment.

"Adam Silver is serious about pulling out all stops to be different, and I like this," Mase said. "But this was something he had to put his foot down."

"You talk about the NBA, you talk about the Atlanta Hawks, it's not just about the guys that watch this game or the ladies that watch this game," he continued. "But it's about the kids that are watching this game... If the children are coming there and you got a little girl there… and you pull out Magic City and you honor that in front of children, I just felt like it would have sent the wrong message to the whole NBA."

Even though the promotion was cancelled, the game and T.I.'s halftime performance will still happen as planned. See Cam'ron and Ma$e's full exchange about the situation below.
