Kehlani finally has a release date for her anticipated fifth studio album.
On Tuesday, March 17, the Grammy award-winning singer announced her self-titled album will arrive on her birthday, April 24. Although a tracklist isn't available just yet, the album's pre-order shows there will be 17 songs, including "Folded" and "Out The Window." Kehlani's been plotting her follow-up to Crash for quite some time. The project will explore themes of love, transformation, vulnerability, and growth while being completely true to herself. Now, following the success of her two lead singles, the California native is ready to begin the next chapter of her career.
Kehlani's self-titled project comes after she claimed victory at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Earlier this year, "Folded" won several awards, including "Best R&B Song" and "Best R&B Performance." The 30-year-old artist had been nominated several times over the years, but it was the first time she had ever won. "Folded" has become an impactful anthem that has garnered over 800 million global streams. It also reached No. 1 at Urban Radio, Rhythmic, and R&B Radio.
"Folded" became so successful that Kehlani dropped an entire EP full of remixes. The project features new approaches to the record by some of R&B's biggest names like Brandy, Toni Braxton, NE-YO, Mario, JoJo, and more.
Kehlani's album will arrive a month before the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The singer is nominated for "R&B Song of the Year" and "R&B Artist of the Year." iHeart's annual award show is happening live, March 26, at 8 p.m. on FOX. Like in years past, iHeartRadio is letting the fans choose the winners in several new and established categories. Fan voting will determine this year’s Favorite TikTok Dance, Favorite Debut Album, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, Favorite Tour Style, and more.
