Shawn Jay, one-half of the rap duo Field Mob, says his family has abandoned him as his cancer battle enters a grim stage.

In a Facebook post he recently shared, the "So What" rapper announced that he has stage four cancer and said he had a "hard day." Shawn Jay shared an inspirational quote in his post and followed up with a comment for his family, who he claimed had ignored him.

“I gotta hunnit if you can see my mom, dad,or brothers in the comments or if they even liked it…they think if they ignore me I’ll die and nobody will notice they never was there for me through this,” he wrote.

“Yall so poocy yall who know my ppl will make up excuses but let’s be real,,,u dying from cancer and yo family aint there…them folks dont love me," he concluded.

Shawn Jay has been battling cancer for the past few years. He's received support from fans and other artists like JT Money, who offered his prayers soon after Shawn's post went viral. However, he claims he has yet to hear from his family since his condition got worse.

Shawn Jay, born Shawn Timothy Johnson, and Darion "Smoke" Crawford formed Field Mob in 1999. The group gained notoriety after they dropped "Sick of Being Lonely," produced by Jazze Pha, in 2002. The hit appears on their second studio album, From tha Roota to tha Toota, along with other collaborations with Trick Daddy, Trina, CeeLo Green, Sleepy Brown, and more. They signed to Ludacris' Disturbing Tha Peace in 2005 and dropped their third album, Light Poles and Pine Trees, the following year. The album boasts hits like "Georgia" with Ludacris and "So What" featuring Ciara.

We extend our prayers to Shawn Jay during this difficult time. Celebrate his legacy by watching some of Field Mob's best music videos below.
