Newly hired New York Giants coach John Harbaugh is open to signing free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., which would be his second stint with his first NFL team.
Beckham, 33, who played for Harbaugh for one season on the Baltimore Ravens in 2023, publicly stated his desire to return to the Giants, where he saw the greatest success of his NFL career during his first five seasons, while playing in the 2026 Fanatics Flag Football Classic on March 21.
"The obvious pat answer would be you look at every option," Harbaugh said during the coaches' breakfast at the annual league meeting on Monday (March 30) via ESPN. "And if Odell is an option, we'll be looking at him for sure."
Harbaugh said he's kept a strong relationship with Beckham since their shared season in 2023, which saw him record 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
"He and I do talk. We do text," Harbaugh said. "We've maintained a really great relationship. He's one of my very favorite people in the world. It's not like you don't talk to guys on things like that. And certainly we have."
Beckham was a three-time Pro Bowler, a two-time second-team All-Pro and the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year during his five seasons with the Giants, recording 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns during that span.
