Future is facing new legal issues after his ex-girlfriend alleged he hasn't honored a court-ordered deal regarding their young child.

According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, March 31, Brittni Mealy filed a new motion, in which she accused the "Mask Off" rapper of failing to follow through on a court-ordered deal to open a $500,000 life insurance policy for their 12-year-old son, Prince. The court order went into effect in 2023 after a judge awarded Mealy an increase in her monthly child support. In addition to her bump in child support, Future was also ordered to open the life insurance policy for Prince with Mealy as the trustee.

As part of her motion, Brittni Mealy wants Future, born Nayvadius DeMun Cash, held in contempt and locked up until he comes through with the life insurance policy. As of this report, Future has not responded to Mealy's claims.

The ruling over Mealy's child support and the life insurance policy came two years after the former couple began feuding online. In 2021, Mealy and Future got into a back-and-forth after she reportedly asked the rapper to buy their son clothes for school. He allegedly called Mealy "a hoe" in text messages, and she posted the conversation on her Instagram Stories. Mealy also called out Future for not seeing their son for months, and claimed he was an inconsistent dad.
