Pooh Shiesty and his father were taken into custody following a raid the FBI conducted at their family's home in Tennessee.

According to a report TMZ published on Thursday, April 2, the "Back In Blood" rapper, born Lontrell Williams, Jr., and his dad, Lontrell Williams, Sr., were both apprehended in connection to a federal criminal case. Pooh Shiesty was arrested from his halfway house in Dallas, Texas, while his dad was picked up in Memphis. Both were arrested as federal agents searched their family home in Cordova as part of a criminal investigation. As of this report, the charges have not been revealed. A press conference is scheduled for this afternoon.

Pooh Shiesty was arrested just six months after he was released from a Pennsylvania prison. The 1017 signee spent three out of his five-year sentence behind bars for charges that stem from two shootings that happened in Miami in October 2020 and June 2021. After he was arrested for the second shooting, Williams was indicted on federal charges, including conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of violent crime, Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy, and discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

The 26-year-old artist originally faced up to eight years in prison, but he was sentenced to five years and three months back in 2022. He received credit for time served after he pleaded guilty to the firearm conspiracy charge.

We'll keep you updated on Pooh Shiesty's status following the press conference.
