Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James said the Memphis Grizzlies should "go over to Nashville already" while appearing on the Bob Does Sports YouTube show in a video shared on Thursday (April 2).

James discussed travel during the NBA season and how it wore on him more at age 41, at which point he mentioned not enjoying "a random f**king Tuesday in Milwaukee staying at the f**king Hyatt" before referencing "being in Memphis on a random ass Thursday."

"I'm not like the first guy to even talk about it in the NBA like we all are like, 'you guys have to move,'" James said. "Just go over to Nashville, you've got Vanderbilt over there, you've got f**king NASCAR. You've got a stadium, don't they've got a hockey team too?"

"Like, it got everything," he added.

Bob Does Sports host Robby Berger then said, "it doesn't look like LeBron's going to be on the Grizzles anytime soon so Grizzlies fans out there..."

"Yeah, they know. Their only chance was in 2003 if they would’ve won the lottery. And I might have pulled an Eli Manning and not shown up," James responded, referencing Manning's agent reportedly telling the then-San Diego Chargers that he wouldn't play for them even if he was drafted No. 1 overall, with the franchise selecting him and trading him for Philip Rivers on draft day.

James, an Akron native, was instead drafted No. 1 overall by the hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, having spent two stints with the franchise from 2003 to 2010 and 2014 to 2018. The return to Cavaliers is a realistic option for James, who has a player option if he returns for the 2025-26 NBA season as the franchise has clinched its third consecutive playoff berth in 2026.
