Young Thug made sure his performance at Coachella was one that fans will remember for years to come.

The Atlanta rapper rocked a new rainbow-inspired hairstyle as he touched the Coachella stage at the Empire Polo Club on Sunday night, April 12, for his closing set at the massive music festival's first weekend. He opened with hits like "Ski," and "Surf" before bringing out his first guest of the night, Ty Dolla $ign. Ty pulled up to support Thugger and deliver his verse from his smash hit with Ye, "CARNIVAL." Later on, Thug invited singer Camila Cabello to the stage to perform "Havana" together for the first time in six years.

Young Thug continued to belt out the hits throughout his set, from "Digits" to "Lifestyle" featuring Rich Homie Quan, his late Rich Gang partner, who passed away just a month before Thug was released from jail in 2024. He also performed a few songs that feature his former YSL artist Gunna, but chose to remove all mentions of him amid their ongoing feud. He censored Gunna's name from his opening performance of "Ski" and completely omitted his verse from "Hot."

At one point during his set, Young Thug pointed out Ye and Kim Kardashian's oldest daughter, North West, in the crowd. Following their first interaction, Thug made sure to check in on her throughout the set, especially when he told fans to open up the mosh pits. He told North and Teyana Taylor, who was also in the crowd, to watch out before the pits got wild.

“North get out of the way. Teyana, get out the way," he said. "Where North at man? Protect North.”

Young Thug performed a couple of songs for the first time ever, including his recent collaboration with NAV, "Trimski," and a brand-new song called "Small Walls." The song could be one of several that may appear on his forthcoming album. He teased the album's title, Day Before Coachella, back in February, which led fans to believe he would drop it before his set. Unfortunately, the album was nowhere to be seen before the festival's first weekend. We'll see if he follows through before his second performance this weekend.
