The San Francisco 49ers and 12-time Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams have reached an agreement on a two-year, $50 million extension, which will keep him signed through the 2027 season, his agency, Elite Loyalty Sports, confirmed in a post shared on its X account Monday (April 20) morning.
"@TrentW71 and Elite Loyalty Sports make NFL history again, securing a new 2-year, $50M deal with the #49ers. The contract includes $37M fully guaranteed and a $22M signing bonus, making Trent the first non-QB in NFL history to surpass $400M in contracts & $225M in guarantees," the post states.
Williams, 37, has signed on for a total of "$140 million in guarantees and $78 million in signing bonuses" since 2021, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Williams, who spent his first 10 seasons with the now-Washington Commanders, was acquired by the Niners in 2020 in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, having previously played under head coach Kyle Shanahan during his tenure as an offensive coordinator in Washington. The former Oklahoma standout has since been selected as a three-time first-team All-Pro and a second-team All-Pro in 2025, as well as making the Pro Bowl during five of the last six seasons.
