Two of Ye's previously scheduled shows in Europe have been shut down as the fallout over his antisemitic past continues.

According to a report Sky News published on Saturday, April 18, the artist formerly known as Kanye West was booked to perform at two separate concerts: one at St. Jakob-Park, home of the football club FC Basel, and another at Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, Poland. The UK-based outlet confirmed that the show at St. Jakob-Park would not move forward following a "thorough review." Meanwhile, organizers of Ye's concert in Poland announced the event won't happen "due to formal and legal reasons."

This is the fourth show in Europe to be canceled amid the backlash over Ye's planned comeback. The Chicago native recently released his new album BULLY after he apologized to the Jewish and Black communities for his vulgar comments on social media. He was booked to headline all three nights of Wireless Fest in the U.K. in July. However, he was barred from entering the country after officials ruled his presence "would not be conducive to the public good." The decision forced Wireless Fest to cancel the entire event.

After he was banned from the U.K., French officials, including Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez and Marseille Mayor Benoît Payan, spoke out against Ye's planned performance in France. They cited his past affinity for Nazism and declared he wasn't welcome at the Vélodrome in Marseille. Ye apparently heard about the backlash, so he postponed the concert himself.

"After much thought and consideration, it is my sole decision to postpone my show in Marseille, France until further notice," Ye wrote in a statement he posted to X. "I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends. I take full responsibility for what’s mine but I don’t want to put my fans in the middle of it. My fans are everything to me. Looking forward to the next shows. See you at the top of the globe 🌏."
