Rap Rising: Isaiah Rashad Returns With New Album ‘It’s Been Awful’

Isaiah Rashad's long-awaited album has finally arrived.

On Friday, May 1, the Tennessee native delivered his third studio album, It's Been Awful, via Top Dawg Entertainment. The album comes with 16 tracks, including stand-outs like "Same Sh*t" and "Boy In Red" featuring SZA. Rashad also tapped Dominic Fike and Julian Sintonia to join him. He celebrated the album's release during a live show in Los Angeles. Tickets for the event went up for sale earlier this week and reportedly sold out within minutes. During the concert, Rashad performed songs from the album live for the first time.

It's Been Awful is Isaiah Rashad's first album in five years, following his popular sophomore LP The House Is Burning. He announced his new project back in April by sharing an intense album trailer. He received plenty of support from his labelmates ScHoolboy Q, Doechii, Terrence "Punch" Henderson, and SiR, as well as Az Chike and others, who posted the album's title on social media. Over the past few weeks, he served up a few more teasers along with music videos for "Same Sh*t" and "Boy In Red."
