Kodak Black has been released from jail on bond after he was arrested for allegedly trafficking drugs.
According to a report TMZ published on Friday, May 8, the Florida native was freed from police custody after a judge granted him a $75,000 bond. The "Super Gremlins" rapper, legally known as Bill Kapri, was ordered to stay away from drugs, the alleged crime scene, and the associates police searched last year. He was also banned from owning or possessing a firearm. Police in Orlando arrested Kodak Black earlier this week after police alleged he had MDMA in a pink bag they discovered along with several documents with his name on them.
In November 2025, police approached two vehicles in Orlando after they allegedly smelled weed. Following a search of both cars, police found a pink Louis Vuitton bag with the synthetic drugs, $37,000, and a bottle of cough syrup. Kodak Black wasn't in the area when cops searched the vehicles, so he wasn't arrested at that time. Police began to process charges against Kodak after a report determined that the MDMA they found was 25.34 grams, which is well over the threshold for trafficking charges.
Kodak Black's attorney, Bradford Cohen, previously called the case "weak" at best. He claimed police tried to charge Kodak based on fingerprints they found on the bottle of cough syrup. However, Cohen said police told him the fingerprints didn't match, but they plan to move forward with the charges anyway because of a single photo that allegedly shows the pink bag in his possession before the search. The photo in question was taken a week before the search and features the pink bag with a gun-shaped lighter and scissors that were also discovered at the scene.
Cohen said the pink bag is a basic one that anyone could have purchased. He also said police had no probable cause to arrest his client and plans to fight the charges in court.
