You can now get an assist to reach your fitness goals and gym gains with the new Body By Jake Radio.
Hosted by fitness icon Jake Steinfeld, Body By Jake Radio is a new partnership between Steinfeld, iHeartMedia and Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) that serves as the first-ever 24-hour digital radio channel that powers not just the body but the mind and spirit.
Launched May 11 in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the station can provide motivation at every level of the day, from giving listeners the energy to conquer the morning to keeping them going throughout the afternoon and into the evening with "a diverse mix of music and specialty programming tailored for different parts of the day," according to a press release.
"Like I've done all my career, we're bringing something to the radio landscape that's never been done before — motivation and inspiration inside the fabric of the best music on the planet," said Steinfeld. "It'll be 72 and sunny every day at Body By Jake Radio where we are here to encourage people every single day: 'Don't Quit!' Keep pushing forward, no matter what."
In addition to Steinfeld as host, Body By Jake Radio will also feature other notable fitness and mental health personalities who will give listeners their own fitness and lifestyle tips, empowering and encouraging messages and uplifting music to help them feel their best and set them up for success.
Jon Zellner, president of programming operations and digital music for iHeartMedia, explained why, as May is Mental Health Awareness Month, now was the right time to bring Steinfeld's innovation and attitude to iHeartRadio with Body By Jake Radio.
"Mental Health Awareness Month is a powerful reminder to take care of ourselves, and each other, and we're proud to bring Body By Jake Radio and Jake's decades of experience helping people feel their best to our listeners," said Zellner.
UMe chairman Bruce Resnikoff praised Steinfeld as a "true pioneer who understood early on the powerful connection between music and motivation" and detailed why the partnership is a good fit for all.
"With Body By Jake Radio, we're building on that momentum by combining UMe's unparalleled catalog with programming that speaks to today's mental health and wellness-focused audience," Resnikoff said. "With iHeartMedia, we're creating a dynamic new platform where great music and positive messaging come together to inspire listeners around the world."
