Peabo Bryson, the voice behind Oscar-winning Disney songs "Beauty and the Beast" and "A Whole New World," is recovering after suffering a stroke.
"Two-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and balladeer, Peabo Bryson, has suffered a stroke and is currently under medical care," a rep for the musician told PEOPLE on Sunday (May 31). "At this time, the family requests privacy as they navigate this deeply personal moment together. The thoughts, prayers and love of friends and fans are welcomed and deeply appreciated."
In 2019, the "Can You Stop the Rain" crooner was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack.
The R&B musician won a Grammy in both 1992 and 1993, for his performances of "Beauty and the Beast" and "A Whole New World," respectively. Both Disney classics ultimately won Best Original Song at the Academy Awards.
Last August, Bryson announced his "Golden Touch" tour, which marks his 50-year music career and is slated to continue into this year, according to Broadway World.
