Total Nutrition Inc. of Deer Park, New York has issued a voluntary recall of two TNVitamins organic moringa products due to a possible salmonella contamination in the raw moringa ingredient, according to a supplier-initiated recall. The affected products are TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa 1,200 mg Capsules (Lot 2800, expiration February 2028) and TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Powder (Lot 2782, expiration May 2028). As of the announcement, no illnesses have been reported in connection with these products.

The recalled supplements were distributed nationwide through major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, TikTok Shop, and the TNVitamins website. Consumers are urged not to consume, sell, or serve these products. Lot numbers can be found on the bottom of the bottle or near the barcode on the label. Only the specified lots are affected by the recall.

Health officials highlight that young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems face the highest risk of severe illness from salmonella, which can cause symptoms like diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, and fever. In rare cases, the infection can lead to serious complications if it spreads to the bloodstream.

This recall is part of a broader multistate salmonella outbreak investigation involving moringa-based supplements. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports 119 illnesses and 32 hospitalizations across 36 states have been linked to dietary supplements containing moringa leaf powder since August 2025. Previously, Total Nutrition Inc. recalled other moringa capsule products, and several brands have been implicated in the wider outbreak.
