Russell Dickerson and Fetty Wap relived their epic, history-making surprise performance at CMA Fest in the new music video that premiered on Wednesday (July 1).

Dickerson introduced Fetty Wap to the main stage at the Country Music Association’s annual four-day festival from June 4 through June 7. The “Happen To Me” hitmaker announced to the packed Nissan Stadium crowd in Nashville, Tennesse, “for the first time in CMA Fest history… Fetty Wap!” It was one of multiple surprise appearances together throughout the longest-running country festival in the world. The collaboration was also one of the “most talked-about moments,” per a press release issued after the Daniella Mason-directed video’s premiere. Dickerson and Fetty Wap performed their collaboration, “Boots,” and Fetty Wap’s iconic single, “Trap Queen.” The performance aired as part of a star-studded CMA Fest concert special on ABC on June 25, which became available to stream the following day on Hulu.

“I’ve been a Fetty Wap fan since the beginning and his music has influenced mine probably more than I even know,” Dickerson said in a statement in the release when he released “Boots” with Fetty Wap. “So to have a song coming out with one of my biggest modern musical influences is one of the best feelings and what I think music is all about, creating something special with artists you love.”

Dickerson and Fetty Wap wrote the collaboration with Matt Dragstrem and Dylan Marlowe. Fetty Wap said it was “easy” to work with the country star. Nothing felt forced. It was just good energy and a real natural vibe. I always been the type of artist that can tap into different sounds, and Russell got that same type of range, so it came together organic. It’s one of them records you can just ride to, feel good to, and play all summer.”
