The Game had something to say about the rumors of a beef between him and fellow Compton legend Kendrick Lamar.
The seasoned MC shocked the masses this week when he unveiled the all-star lineup for his latest album, The Documentary III. His brand-new LP comes with 24 tracks featuring Ye, Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, YG, Drakeo The Ruler, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Black Thought, Marsha Ambrosius, Larry June, Leon Thomas, Kalan.Frfr, and more. Game fired his warning shot by debuting his new single, "No Brakes" featuring Drake, with DJ Akademiks hours before his album dropped. Then, he took direct aim at K.Dot in his song "The Pen."
"Like Dr. Dre on the beat, yeah I’m back with that sound/They say I’m beefing with Kendrick, how the f**k do that sound?" he spits. "’Cause I'm feeling like 50 when he made 'Back Down'/They say 50 made me, tell him make me again/I kick myself out the group and make them hate me again."
The Game and Kendrick Lamar used to be cool, especially after Game supported him when Snoop Dogg passed the torch to Dot in 2011. Tensions began to boil as far back as 2024 before Drake and Lamar's publicized beef. Things came to a head earlier this year when Game decided to perform his 2015 collaboration with Drake, "100," at his Verzuz with YG, who also sided with Lamar and supported him at "The Pop Out" in June 2024.
“I don’t give a f**k how a n***a feel about it,” he told fans last month.
