I am writing you a letter all the way from Sunny South Africa. Obviously the radio station will not be correct then, Steve after 25 years I have finally met the man of my dreams and he is going to ask me to marry him. He has been honest with me since we started dating and told me that he has been married before and has a 3 year old daughter with his ex-wife. He is 32 by the way. As soon as he told me this at first I was shocked, cried a bit then I turned around and told him that I would stand by his side no matter what and we could deal with this together. He also got very hurt through all of this and that’s when I decided I am not here to make his life any harder, I want to make it better. Our problem is that whenever I think about my wedding day, I keep thinking he’s been through this before and I want it to be as special to him as it will be to me. He tells me everyday how much he loves me, he wants to provide for me, he wants to protect me and he has assured me that there is absolutely no comparison between me and his ex. His family never liked her, they never approved of her and they absolutely love me. Am I paranoid? I asked him that if there was anything in his house that is left of hers even if it is just a candle that she bought. He must please get rid of it. He went and did it the same day. Our love is so strong for each other and I don’t want to ruin it with my paranoia. I just need to know that I am number one in his life even though he has told me this a million times.
