Uncle Steve and The Crew React To Will Smith Slapping Chris Rock

Last night at the 94th annual Academy Awards was the most iconic moment in television history. We all saw it… Chris Rock walked on stage and did jokes about acknowledging the mostly mask-free audience, before making a reference to Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett-Smith's hairstyle. Now after that, we saw Will laugh at the joke, but then saw Jada’s reaction and Will left his seat next to his wife, walked up on stage, and slapped Chris in the face. The audio was cut for several seconds after the OMG moment, but Will then walked back to his seat, where a camera caught video of him yelling a message back to Chris: "Keep my wife's name out your f––king mouth." Last year, Jada announced that she shaved her head because she's been suffering from alopecia or hair loss. During the commercial break, right after the smack, Will was pulled to the side by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry. That was your highest moment, be careful, that’s when the devil comes for you. Will won the best actor award, and during his tearful speech, he apologized to the Academy and my fellow nominee and said, “Love will make you do some crazy things”. He never apologized to Chris Rock on stage.

Although Uncle Steve is out of the country, he was able to catch up on what happened and said, "I don't think that Chris was talking about a condition in her hair, I don't think he's aware of it." He goes on to say, "Will Smith laughed at it at first, and then he went up on stage and slapped this dude. Kudos to Rock for being a professional."

Shirley and Carla at first thought it was a bit and didn't believe Will Smith walked on stage and did that, especially on a night that was supposed to be his night.

Nephew Tommy said, unlike Chris Rock he would have reacted back to that slap.
