The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation partnered with music producer, Metro Boomin to spotlight single moms. Over the weekend, Metro purchased tickets for 26 single mothers, along with their children, to attend the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers game. However, TMZ reports that Metro himself chose to not attend so the mothers would be the focus of the event. The moms rocked "Single Moms Are The Real Superheroes" t-shirts while enjoying the game. The “Single Mothers Are Superheroes” initiative is a meaningful way for Metro to give back to the community and honor his late mother. The campaign started earlier this year. Sharon Page, Executive Director of the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation told The Source that, "our mission is to ensure the needs of the whole family are met and we know that the most important part of that nucleus is the mom.” The campaign helped 150 parents attend the Single Moms Enrichment Retreat and gave one mom a $25,000 scholarship to further her study.
Uncle Steve was proud to partner to make the event happen because it takes a village.
