Entertainment News: Lizzo "Quitting"and Stars Reflect on Louis Gossett, Jr.

According to the Daily News, Lizzo cleared up her recent comments about “quitting,” telling fans in an Instagram video on Tuesday that she’s still going to make music but is simply going to quit “giving any negative energy attention.” The comments followed a cryptic Instagram post on Friday that said, she was “getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet,” finishing in all caps: “I QUIT.” In Tuesday’s video, Lizzo stood in front of the camera in an aqua-blue bathing suit, explaining, “What I’m not going to quit is the joy of my life, which is making music and connecting to people”. Lizzo followed up the video with a post promoting her new swimming and clothing line “Yitty”.

And we’re going to switch gears, in breaking health news, The Center for Disease Control and Prevention's most recent data on new cases of HIV paints a startling picture of an ongoing health crisis in the Southeast. Atlanta ranked third behind Memphis and Miami for the highest number of new cases with more than 1,500 reported in 2021. "We’ve seen that HIV is growing in the south and Atlanta has some of the highest numbers in the south," said Jeff Cheek, Fulton County’s director of HIV Elimination.
