In a shocking turn of events, music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been hit with serious federal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution. The indictment paints a disturbing picture of Combs and his inner circle—members of his security team, household staff, personal assistants, and other close associates—allegedly running a "criminal enterprise." According to prosecutors, this enterprise involved crimes such as sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.
Central to the case are Combs' infamous sex parties, referred to as "freak offs," which reportedly involved drug use and the transportation of sex workers across state and international borders. Prosecutors revealed that more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricants, along with a variety of narcotics—including GHB, ketamine, and ecstasy—were seized during raids on Combs' properties. Additionally, firearms were discovered, including three AR-15 style rifles, two of which had scratched-out serial numbers.
Yesterday, Combs pled not guilty to all charges during his arraignment and was denied bail. Some of the charges carry a maximum life sentence, adding gravity to the already high-profile case.
Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, Vice President Kamala Harris met with members of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) to discuss her efforts to connect with Black male voters ahead of the 2024 election. Harris emphasized that the support of Black men cannot be taken for granted and that their votes must be earned, not assumed.
"I think it’s very important to not operate from the assumption that Black men are in anybody’s pocket. Black men are like any other voting group. You gotta’ earn their vote, so I’m working to earn the vote, not assuming I’m gonna have it because I’m Black," Harris told journalists.
